Not only have some British-listed gambling websites stopped their operations in America but several companies have actually sold off their American operations as soon as President George W Bush Signed the internet gambling ban late last week.
The move by some of the industry giants was not a surprise move after the President signed the bill into law.
Before the bill was even signed into law one group had announced that it had sold off its American operations for just 1 dollar.
Friday Bush signed the law which was pushed thru Congress at the end of last month before their break. The law makes it illegal for the casinos and sportsbooks to receive payments or for them to deposit money into accounts of Americans playing online gambling games.
Many of the gaming sites have said they will stop all real money gaming to customers in the USA right away.
One such company a Gibraltar-based owner of the larges online poker operation made 62 percent of its money from their American customers.
Last week the company fell from its place in the FTSE 100 when the stock fell to less then half of its price moments after congress announced the passing of this act, and then once the bill was passed they announced that hey would immediately cease all business in the USA.
These companies are just hoping they can keep their business together and ride this one out.
